The episodes of the 84 disciples of
Shri Vallabhacharya are to Pushtimarga what "Vedas" are to Hinduism, Qoran is to
Islam and Bible is to Christianity. It has been a tradition
in a typical vaishnava family to read one episode daily as a
part of 'Satsang'.
These episodes are reproduced by Shri Gokulnathji,
and special commentary has been written on them by Shri Hariraiji
in a compilation called "84 Vaishnav ki Varta". It
is written in simple Vraj-bhasha language, which tell us
about who these vaishnavas were, in God's eternal domain i.e.
Golokdham and how/why they had to come in the mortal form.
They also describe their biography in brief and tell us how
they came into contact with Shri Mahaprabhuji.
Every single disciple had a significant role to play in
God's 'Nitya-leela' and they had to come on this earth in
order to fulfill a particular task. Their way of living and
the principles of the Pushtimarga, that they followed are a
source of inspiration to every new entrant in this unique
path of devotion.
Whatever principles, that
Shri Vallabhacharya has taught in his various literary works, have been put into
practice by these faithful disciples of his. It is believed
that if one reads even a single page of their episodes/stories
everyday, then one can achieve some sort of success in
pursuing this path by the grace of God,
Shri Vallabhacharya and these vaishnavas. All our sins, our miseries, our
tensions can be cleared off just by singing praises of these
84 vaishnavas , it is said.
